Board of Health Minutes 5/18/09
MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

Date:  May 18, 2009
Present:  John Makuc, Stephen Enoch, Robert Annelli and Peter Kolodziej

The meeting began at 3:40pm
  • Brad Morse, representative for Wendy Jensen and Stephen Moore was present to discuss plans to tie in a newly constructed workshop for basket making at 12 New Marlboro Rd.  When the ZBA application came before the Board for a special permit the Board stated that a septic permit application would need to be applied for.  The Board also requested current floor plans of the existing house to determine the number of bedrooms.  The representatives for the Mr. Moore stated that Ms. Jensen will not be selling directly from the workshop.  The representatives will submit a septic repair permit as well as a local installer’s permit.  An as built will also be required.  The Board will also place a condition on the permit that no varnishes or stains should be disposed of down the drain.
  • The Board approved the minutes from May 4, 2009 as written.  Robert Annelli stated that he wanted to make it clear that statements made at the last meeting have not been verified (regarding # of acres necessary to farm and state and local bylaws that govern this), anyone interested in learning more should confirm the regulations with the proper authorities.
  • The Board reviewed their mail.
  • The Board reviewed the special permit application for Scott Wodecki of 175 Pixley Rd.
  • The Board reviewed communications from Marc White regarding Kutsher’s Sports Academy.  DEP is almost ready to approve the shared septic system and is ok with them using the current water supply through the end of the year.  Peter will try to set up a joint inspection with Don Torrico.  Marc mentioned in his email that a separate tennis camp is interested in using the property; they will need to file for a camp permit separate from KSA.
  • S. Enoch recapped the events that occurred at the Planning Board meeting on May 14th regarding a proposed 4 lot subdivision off Mt Hunger Rd.  Three lots are proposed to have houses and the 4th lot will have a peace/retreat center.  An updated plan was not provided to the Board but Peter has seen a copy.
  • The Board reviewed a complaint from a resident on West Rd regarding the proposed subdivision.
The meeting adjourned at 4:32pm
